After 33 years of unbroken publication, I stopped production of Cuttings in March 2023. Cuttings was a regular (bi-monthly) newsletter that is a collection of ideas and writings on individual, management and organisation development shared to further promote discussion. Each edition contained summaries of articles that had previously appeared been published online by other organisations, plus a collection of SNIPPETS – quotations and thought provokers to aid your thinking and reflection. Published electronically and sent to a world-wide group of subscribers, the recent copies are available on this website by clicking on the links below.
What people say about Cuttings: Cuttings was one of the few newsletters welcomed by HR Directors, Training Managers and consultants who are inundated with literature and flyers every day.
“The only newsletter I read”
“This is an OUTSTANDING newsletter”
“Thank you for your very entertaining and useful newsletter”
“Your ‘Cuttings’ is great stuff. I enjoy your distillate blend of wisdom, wit, humour and judgement”

- Engagement – we didn’t always call it engagement, but it has been a theme for some time.
- Employees – staff are people not resources and unless we treat them as such there can be no empowerment or engagement
Cuttings 164 January 2023
